I agree with Peter. You can sandbag the frist 4 sets and go heavy just on your last set vs. someone who went heavy all 5 sets. I admit I was guilty of this today. Sets went like this: 110kg, 120kg, 125kg, 130kg, 135kg, 137×2. What I should have done was another set at 130 and 125kg. However, my sacral spine has been botherring me lately, so I didn’t want to push it for no reason.

I imagine it’s meant to encourage you to lift with consistently heavy loads throughout the WOD. If you were only accountable for a max load, you could go light in the early rounds to save your strength and without impacting your “score”.

why do people add all the wieght up instead of just max load, very deceptive.
